Perfect Thanksgiving Turkey Recipe

CookingAddic Everyone loves the turkey at Thanksgiving, even the turkey hater! I've now been named the official Thanksgiving Turkey Maker in our family. I been preparing turkey for almost 2 decades. If you are looking for the best juicy turkey recipe, this is it!!! You found it:) Now you can make the best turkey dinner for your family.

Important to follow to get the juicy turkey:

  1. Buy turkey on Monday.
  2. Defrost by Wednesday
  3. Marinade on Wednesday night
  4. Cook 3-4 hours on Thanksgiving day


  • 9 1/2 lbs Turkey
  • 2 apples
  • 2 med-small onions

Marinade for smaller turkey: 

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing 
  • 1 1/3 tbs Sea salt  
  • 1 tbs vegeta optional ( it has salt in it too)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 full head of garlic minced

Marinade: For large 25 lbs turkey 
  • 3/4 cup mayo
  • 3/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1.5 to 2 tbs salt
  • 1 heaping tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 heapng tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp or to your taste black pepper
  • 1 1/2 full head of garlic minced
  • Vegeta is optional 2-3 tsp

You can use all your favorite spices in the marinade.

I bought a small turkey to post my recipe before the Thanksgiving. I usually make the biggest turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner party.
 First defrost the turkey. Rinse it well.

Cut apples and onion into large chunks like 1 inch in size.
Mix all the spices, garlic with mayo and ranch.

Spread the marinade under the skin on the breast.
Spread in the front under the skin too. I used a spoon  top make it easier.

 Spread under the turkey.
Spread all over. 

Even inside of the turkey.  
Stuff it with onion and apples. It makes it so juicy!!! 

Even by neck area too. 
Cover with foil completely. LEAVE IT IN THE GARAGE OVERNIGHT TO MARINADE.  You can use a turkey bag, to bake, it works out great too. 

Next day bake covered turkey for 3 hrs (10 lbs turkey), 4 hrs for 20-25 lbs turkey. Bake on 375 F for 1 hr then on 350 the rest. Open it 15 min before ending time and let it brown for a little bit. I take out apples and onion then I stuff turkey with  Trader Joe's Harvest Grains Blend.  

This is 25 lbs turkey. 
I filled the turkey with cous cous. Added carrots, corn, bell pepper, yellow zucchini and green onion.

Stuffed Bubliki with Meat {Бублики с Mясом}

CookingAddic Bubliki is like little bagels but they are dry. It turns out that bubliki can be used not only as a great addition to the tea, but also to filled  with the meat. I love dried bubliki stuffed with meat from childhood. This dish is a great for family celebrations. Bubliki with meat can be attributed to the appetizer and to a meat dish. Perfectly suited to the children's table. Adults also have great pleasure in eating bubliki and by the way, you get full very quickly.


  • 1 bag of bubliki
  • 1-2 cups milk boiled
  • 1 lb ground beef and pork mixed
  • 1 med onion
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbs heavy whipping cream
  • Salt, pepper, coriander, smoked paprika (optional)
  • Mixed cheese for topping.

Soak bubliki in boiled milk for 10-15 min. In like 7 min turn to the to other side.
Mix meat with ground onion.
Add whipping cream, egg and spices. Mix well.
Bubliki will get plump and spongy. Like in the picture; see the difference.
Fill bubliki with meat. Add cheese on top. 
Bake for 20 min on 350F.

Russian Meat Patties "Otbivnie" {Свиные Oтбивные}

CookingAddic Sometimes the most simple food can be very delicious. Tender, juicy pieces of pork fried in a pan, will please you and your guests with the taste and appearance. A perfect dish for a hike, picnic or holiday table. Otbivnie is a Russian tenderized meat.  


  • Pork or chicken
  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • Salt, pepper, coriander, cumin
  • Oil

To choose pork chops, the meat must be free of streaks and films. Better if the chops will be bought fresh. If you want to cook the chicken chops, buy chicken breast. To cut across the grain, but not along. 

Cut meat across the grain into pieces about 11/2 cm thick each piece. 

Beat well each piece with a special hammer on both sides. 
Add salt, pepper, coriander and cumin. I sprinkle each piece. 
Preheat a skillet with oil. Fluff 2 eggs in a bowl. Put some flour into a plate or I just use a paper towel. 
Dip a piece of meat in to flour.

Then dip it into eggs.

Transfer it to the heated pan. Chops should be put on a well-heated pan - if the temperature is high, the meat quickly formed a crust, which will not allow to drain juices.

Cook both sides until it reaches   golden color. Enjoy with rice or mashed potatoes:)

"Delicious BBQ Grilled Chicken Tenderloins"

These grilled chicken tenderloins are absolutely amazing!!! Soft, tender, juicy chicken tenderloins that aren't dried out. It has a little sweet taste to it. I went to baby shower and these were the big hit at the party. Thank you Tanya for sharing the recipe with us :)


Chicken tenderloins
Montreal chicken seasoning 
BBQ sauce
Salt, pepper, coriander 
Garlic fresh or powder

Rinse chicken sprinkle with Montreal chicken seasoning, salt and coriander. Mix, let it sit for 20 min. Then add a generous amount of mayo to cover it really well. Mix and add garlic then let it marinade for 30 min to a few hrs.
In the separate bowl mix 1/2 cup mayo with 1/2 cup BBQ sauce and 1 tbs sugar. Set it aside. 
Preheat your grill. Grill chicken for 5 min (with the lid closed) on one side then turn to the other side and brush on the BBQ mix. Grill for 5 min and turn to the other side and brush with BBQ mix then  cook for 2 min and turn again cook for 2 min.
