Russian Meat Patties "Otbivnie" {Свиные Oтбивные}


CookingAddic Sometimes the most simple food can be very delicious. Tender, juicy pieces of pork fried in a pan, will please you and your guests with the taste and appearance. A perfect dish for a hike, picnic or holiday table. Otbivnie is a Russian tenderized meat.  


Ingredients:


  • Pork or chicken
  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • Salt, pepper, coriander, cumin
  • Oil


To choose pork chops, the meat must be free of streaks and films. Better if the chops will be bought fresh. If you want to cook the chicken chops, buy chicken breast. To cut across the grain, but not along. 

Cut meat across the grain into pieces about 11/2 cm thick each piece. 

Beat well each piece with a special hammer on both sides. 
Add salt, pepper, coriander and cumin. I sprinkle each piece. 
Preheat a skillet with oil. Fluff 2 eggs in a bowl. Put some flour into a plate or I just use a paper towel. 
Dip a piece of meat in to flour.

Then dip it into eggs.

Transfer it to the heated pan. Chops should be put on a well-heated pan - if the temperature is high, the meat quickly formed a crust, which will not allow to drain juices.



Cook both sides until it reaches   golden color. Enjoy with rice or mashed potatoes:)

Cream Cheese Stuffed Bell Peppers


CookingAddic Appetizers are fun. These delicious and naturally low carb! You hold them in your hand, you take a good look at them, if you’re lucky you can get them all in one bite. These bright and flavorful baby bell peppers are filled with cream cheese, parmesan and chives. First time I tried  em at the wedding, and I could not stop eating em. They are delicious!

 Ingredients:

  1. 1 lb mini bell peppers
  2. 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
  3. 1/3 cup minced chives or green onion
  4. 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese or any other cheese
  5. 1 tsp vegeta or any other spice


Additional flavors can be bacon, crabs, shrimps etc. 




Preheat oven to 350.  Soften cream cheese in the microwave for 20 sec. Mix it with cheese, chives and vegeta.


Leaving stem on the peppers, slice peppers and remove the seeds. 


Fill each pepper with cheese. Spray the baking sheet with oil. Arrange peppers on a baking sheet. 
Bake for 15 - 20 min.

Cream Cheese Tuna Spread

Cooking Addic Tuna brings together three kid pleasers: tuna, cream cheese and bagels. It's a simple sandwich spread for breakfast, snacks, or a quick bite. You eat this as a dip on just about anything, veggies, chips, crackers, etc. The flavor of tuna is very subtle in this thick and creamy spread. This delicious recipe came from my aunt.


   Ingredients:

3 (5 oz) cans of tuna
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese (room temp)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 small sweet onion 
1 tbsp dill
2 tbsp chives or green onion
Salt, pepper to taste   


Cream cheese needs to soften at room temp or a microwave. 
Drain water from the cans. Add tuna to the bowl. 
Add mayo and mix well. I used a small mixer. 
Mince onion into small pieces. 

Slice chives and dill. Mix in by spoon.
