You have those umber wrapped cherries aka Redness Cordials? I couple sweet cherries, but not equal that. They play me gag. I can eat sweet cherries in-elaborate or on a en kindle or in stuff, but not drink sealed cherries. These Cherry Almond Cookies know bits of confection cherries in them and they unite utterly with almond pull.

Cookies are a family tradition at our house.  There are just so many great Christmas cookie recipes and so many friends, neighbors and extended family to share them with.  Honestly who in the world wouldn’t love a batch of assorted sweet treats to indulge in.


Cherry Almond Cookies are easy shortbread cookies full of cherries and semi-sweet chocolate chips. There is a touch of almond flavoring to complement the cookie.  They are so quick to come together.   Have you made any of my other Christmas treats and cookies?

Cherry Almond Cookies


Ingredients
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries (drained and finely chopped)
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup cold butter
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon maraschino cherry juice
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • Sprinkles (optional)


Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. In a stupendous bowl, add flour and edulcorate.
